Deer Tracking Services - Yesterday one of our hounds, 10 month old Anja (Bayervalley Rose), successfully completed a mock Schweisshund II tracking test.
Basically a track of 1000m, around 24 hours old, two turns, one track back and two wound beds to declare. She completed her tracks in under 30 minutes despite estimated temperatures of some 23 degrees in the forest!

Congratulations also to Steve Williams with Bayervalley Ash, another of our pups who also successfully completed the same mock test in the same time frame.
A point worth noting is that the actual test allows for 100ml of blood to be used. The tracks we layed used only 40ml! This was used for the first 100m, on the track back and on both wound couches.
